Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU/CCU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Holiday coverage when there is a need
• No call or standby requirements
• Float pool position covering multiple units: ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, NICU across three facilities
• Float only within specialty area, never to lower acuity units
• Can be assigned to any facility or unit 1 hour before shift starts via app
• May float mid-shift to different units and facilities as needed
• Travelers are first to float when staffing needs arise
• All facilities are approximately 20 minutes apart with safe parking available
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1-2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, NICU 1:4
• Required to titrate drips in ICU, ER, Tele, MedSurg, and PICU units
• Must read and interpret telemetry/monitors in ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU
• Dress code requires clean and professional scrubs, no specific color requirement
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation following meet and greet on day one
• EPIC charting system
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years experience in specialty area required
• Previous travel experience required
• BSN not required
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
Facility:
This healthcare system operates three medical facilities providing comprehensive acute care services across the region. The organization features a robust float pool system with dedicated leadership support, including seven assistant managers with 24/7 on-call availability. The facility maintains modern equipment and technology, utilizes EPIC charting systems, and provides extensive specialty services including emergency care, intensive care, medical-surgical units, telemetry, labor and delivery, and neonatal intensive care across all locations.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
