RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Must be flexible to work holidays and days around holidays as needed
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitoring system
• Must be comfortable with cardiac drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, heparin, and others
• Experience with BiPap, CPAP, vapotherm, and high flow oxygen (no full ventilators)
• May float to ICU for stepdown patients or assist with tasks if ICU experience available
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover (12-16 admissions/discharges per shift on busy days)
• Common patient types include post-operative cardiac surgery, cardiovascular procedures, CHF, and chest tube management
• Preferred ability to pull pacer wires with orientation provided if needed
• Strict dress code requirements: natural hair color, no artificial nails, no facial piercings, no visible tattoos
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS preferred
• Must have 2 years stepdown experience in acute care setting and 1 successful travel contract
• Must live 75+ miles from facility (driver's license verification required)
• EMR system: Meditech
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
