Description
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts - Days 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or Nights 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Day/Night rotation available with manager creating schedule based on unit needs
• Every other weekend or every 3rd weekend requirement
• 2 holidays per year required
• Level III NICU with 22-bed open concept unit
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:2-3 patients, up to 1:4 for stable feeder/grower patients
• 2 years NICU experience required with Level 3-4 NICU experience
• Must be able to titrate drips including antibiotics, multivitamin, iron, surfactant, TPN, and epinephrine
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Attend deliveries under 36 weeks to assist with APGAR scoring
• Float to Newborn Nursery and Pediatrics as needed
• Hospital-provided scrubs required
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Work with common diagnoses including RDS, SGA, prematurity, hypoglycemia, bilirubin
• Care for patients 23 weeks and older with intubation and bubble CPAP support
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required

This medical center operates a Level III NICU featuring a modern 22-bed open concept design with a centralized nursing station for optimal patient monitoring. The facility provides comprehensive neonatal care with 24/7 neonatologist coverage during the day and neonatal nurse practitioner coverage overnight. The unit is equipped with advanced respiratory therapy equipment including bubble CPAP and ventilators, and maintains excellent provider relationships to support high-quality patient care.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
