Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirements include 5-6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule (Days: Saturday/Sunday, Nights: Friday/Saturday)
• May be asked to work holidays but not expected to work every holiday
• Float between Telemetry floors 3 and 7 as needed, with potential floating to other MS, MS-Tele, or Tele units within the hospital and sister facilities (Meridian & Nampa)
• Travelers are first to float when staffing needs arise
• Maintain 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 2 years of nursing experience required with prior travel experience preferred
• Must have post-procedural cardiac experience including cath lab, ablations, and open heart procedures
• PCU and stepdown experience preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips and document appropriately (required twice per shift)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Handle cardiac drips including heparin and insulin titration (rare, training provided if needed)
• Manage set rate cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine
• Work with high respiratory needs patients including intermittent high flow, BiPap, and CPAP with respiratory therapy support
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation (1 on 3rd floor, 1 on 7th floor)
• Schedule created 6 weeks at a time with maximum 5 shifts in a row
• Cancellation policy allows 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required
Facility:
This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with specialized telemetry units providing cardiac and general telemetry care. The facility features a 20-bed cardiac-focused telemetry unit on the 3rd floor handling post-procedural cardiac patients, TAVRs, ablations, post-catheterizations, pacemakers, and medical telemetry cases. The 7th floor operates a 35-bed general telemetry unit managing post-procedural overflow, CHF, sepsis, electrolyte imbalances, post-stroke patients, and other complex medical cases. The organization is known for being traveler-friendly with supportive leadership and has sister facilities that provide additional floating opportunities.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
