RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36-hour weekly guarantee
• 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
• Work on 24-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds with heavy focus on telemetry
• Care for adult patients only (pediatric patients assigned to permanent staff)
• Must have strong neurology and cardiac skills
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS certification preferred
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights, 1:4 for pediatrics based on acuity level
• Float to all medical-surgical units and ICU when taking medical-surgical overflow patients
• Use Allscripts Sunrise EMR system for charting
• Support staff includes telemetry technicians, charge nurse, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• No IV team available - nurses handle IV responsibilities
• Scrubs required in any color except all black (scrubs not provided)
• Work in Level 3 trauma acute care setting
