RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36-hour weekly guarantee
• 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
• 24-bed medical surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds - heavy focus on telemetry
• Must have strong neurology and cardiac skills
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS certification preferred
• BSN degree not required
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 during days, 1:6 during nights (ratios based on acuity level)
• Care for adult patients only (pediatric patients assigned to permanent staff)
• Float to all medical surgical units and ICU when taking medical surgical overflow patients
• Use Allscripts (Sunrise) electronic medical record system
• Work with support staff including telemetry technicians, charge nurses, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• No IV team available - nurses perform IV procedures
• Respiratory therapist and pharmacy services available 24/7
• Hospitalist available in-house 24/7
• Any color scrubs permitted except all black
• Scrubs not provided by facility
