RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour shifts: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday through Friday
• Weekend and holiday on-call rotation required
• Call requirements: 1-2 times per week on weeknights (3:15 PM - 6:45 AM), weekend call approximately every 3-4 weekends (Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM)
• Must be willing to work holidays and rotate with permanent staff
• 15-minute call response time required with 8-hour reprieve shifts post-call
• Must have 3 years of OR experience
• Must be proficient in either Ortho/Neuro OR General/Robotics specialties
• BLS certification required
• Must be willing to float to cross-train in other specialty cases and to the floor as 1:1 sitter or helping hands when needed
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Work with 12 ORs, 1 Endo Suite, 1 Cysto Suite handling 25-30 cases per day on average
• General/Robotics experience should include open bellies, GYN, DaVinci Xi, and endoscopy
• Ortho/Neuro experience should include total joints, sports medicine, arthroscopies, spinal fusions, and cranial cases
• EPIC charting system used
• Scrubs provided
• 3-4 days hospital orientation plus 4-5 days unit-based orientation with 2 buddy call shifts
• Sleep room and nearby housing available for call coverage

This medical center operates a comprehensive surgical department with a family-oriented atmosphere and modern technology. The facility features 12 operating rooms, an endoscopy suite, and cystoscopy suite, handling an average of 25-30 cases daily. The department offers advanced robotic surgical capabilities including DaVinci Xi and ION robotic systems, specializing in both general/robotics and orthopedic/neurological procedures. The facility maintains Level 2 trauma designation and provides 24/7 surgical services with dedicated OR technicians and charge nurse coverage.
