RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in Cardiovascular Operating Room with ability to float to general OR as needed
• Day shifts starting at 0600 with call requirements
• Available 8 and 12-hour shift options
• Call requirements: weeknight call from 6:30 PM to 6:00 AM the next morning with minimum 2 nights of call per 4-week schedule
• Weekend call currently every 2nd/3rd weekend due to staffing constraints
• No floating outside of OR department
• Work with 8 general OR rooms plus 2 dedicated heart rooms running 9-10 rooms total
• Handle 23-25 cases per day on average including general surgery, vascular, orthopedic, endoscopic, and urology procedures
• Strong open heart surgery program available
• Tech support and charge nurse available on staff
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Cerner charting system experience required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (CNOR preferred)
• All MyJourney modules must be completed prior to arrival
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
