RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 AM with bedside report
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with core staff
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 in 20-bed Neuro ICU unit
• First to float to sister facilities, with rare mid-shift floating
• 1-2 days floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 2 years Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips
• Work with ventilators and telemetry monitoring
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required, undershirts must be navy, white, or black
• Optional navy scrub jackets permitted
• Use Cerner EMR system for documentation
• Self-scheduling available with manager approval
• Overtime and extra shifts available
• Must complete DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours prior to contract signing
• Care for patients with CVA, ICB, neuro surgeries, craniotomies, and ventriculostomies
• Perform line insertions and other neuro-specific procedures
• Work with charge nurses, safety attendants, and hospitalists/intensivists
