RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Holiday work based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele) - travelers float first before permanent staff
• Required to float to Westgate campus when requested
• Must have Level I trauma experience required
• ICU experience only, CVICU experience preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail orientation exam and skills lab on day 1 including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
• Strong IV skills required (no IV team available)
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Appearance requirements: natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrubs required
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• 2-day floor-specific orientation
• Care for high acuity patients including cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, ECMO, and various thoracic procedures
• Perform high number of bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz, and epidurals
• Work with 24-bed CTICU/CVICU unit with intensivist coverage during days and on-call at night
