Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Every other weekend requirement with 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving (work 2 days and 1 evening or 2 evenings and 1 day)
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 48-bed telemetry unit (two units 4A and 4B)
• No call or standby requirements
• Floating requirements to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• Navy blue scrubs required
• One shift unit orientation provided
• Charting system: Cerner
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• BSN not required
• Care for patients with COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, telemetry, TIA, CVA, and general, orthopedic, and spinal surgical patients
• Must have experience reading basic telemetry strips and working with general and orthopedic surgical patients, CVA, and TIA
• Cerner experience recommended
• Required to interpret and sign telemetry strips at least once per shift
• Work with respiratory equipment including BiPap, CPAP, high flow, and breathing treatments
• Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem (no titration required)
• Work in acute care setting with charge nurse and house supervisor support

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.
Cons
Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
