Description
Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel)
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
Schedule: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
Position Type: Float Pool (must be willing to float between departments and multiple facilities)
Job Description
- Provide patient care on the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Ability and willingness to float between departments and multiple facilities
Additional Information
- This is a float pool position requiring flexibility to work across several facilities.
- Night shift with a 3/12 schedule and weekend work required.
