RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• 36-hour weekly guarantee with 3 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• PALS (AHA) certification preferred
• Must be strong in neurological and cardiac nursing skills
• Work on 24-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Heavy focus on telemetry monitoring and cardiac care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights (ratios based on acuity level)
• Float to all medical-surgical units and ICU for overflow patients
• Care for adult patients only (pediatric patients assigned to permanent staff)
• Work with Allscripts Sunrise electronic medical record system
• Support staff includes telemetry technicians, charge nurse, health unit coordinators, and patient care technicians
• No IV team available - nurses perform IV procedures
• Any color scrubs allowed except all black (scrubs not provided)
• 24/7 hospitalist, respiratory therapist, and pharmacy support available
• Level 3 trauma center in acute care setting
