RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Float throughout Zone 4 which covers a 60-mile radius from Garden City center
• Must float between three facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• Work 6-9 weekend shifts within each 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two possible formats: scheduled at single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignments given 1-2 hours before shift start
• Float between multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May float to other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology, post-surgical patients, and general medicine
• Titrate Heparin drips as needed
• Work with EPIC charting system and Alaris pumps
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years MS-Tele experience in last 3 years required
• Prior neurology experience preferred
• Alaris and EPIC experience preferred
• Must be available for week of orientation in state
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
