RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Must be available to work any day of the week and holidays when needed
• Handle an average of 12 cases per shift, working on 10-15 cases simultaneously
• Zero hands-on patient care - position focused on transfer coordination and clinical assessments
• Facilitate patient transfers from hospitals within and outside of the health system
• Conduct patient assessments, obtain vitals, and gather clinical information for patient reports
• Find accepting physicians and specialist doctors for appropriate facility placements
• Utilize multiple computer applications including Cerner, TeleTracking, Tiger Connect, and Google applications
• Must have minimum 2 years of ICU, ED, or transfer center experience with acute care background
• Required to have Cerner or EPIC experience
• Must demonstrate strong computer skills, ability to multitask, and professional customer service skills
• Critical care assessment skills and good clinical judgment required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours of acceptance
• BSN not required
• Dress code: professional scrubs any color or casual wear including jeans and hoodies (clean and professional)
• 1 day general hospital orientation plus 3-5 days department-specific training
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
