RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU/CCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed with accommodation for requests
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
• Must have 2 years of ICU experience, preferably in similar size or larger ICU and hospital
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required to titrate drips including dopamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, and esmolol
• Monitor and read own strips using Spacelabs equipment
• Work with ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment
• Care for patients with CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, septic shock, overdose, respiratory failure, and neurosurgery patients
• Float to other ICUs in the Valley including Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
• May be assigned as 1:1 sitter outside of ICU
• No scrub color or dress code requirements
• 1-2 shift orientation period
• Use EPIC charting system
• No on-call or standby requirements
• BSN not required

This medical center features a comprehensive critical care department with separate 16-bed SICU and MICU units that operate as a combined unit. The facility provides advanced cardiac and neurological care with both hospitalists and intensivists available in-house 24/7. The ICU is equipped with modern technology and maintains dedicated respiratory therapists around the clock, with charge nurses and resource nurses available on each unit to support patient care.
