RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts with 4x10 schedule
• Call requirements include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Primary call team works one week on call, one week off; secondary call team works one week on call, two weeks off
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Holiday requirements include 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Must be able to pass Procedural Sedation competency and EKG exam
• Assist Interventional Radiologists with minimally invasive procedures
• Position patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures
• Assist physicians in other modalities such as CT and ultrasound
• Must be knowledgeable about procedures, equipment, and procedural sedation
• Work with common procedures including biopsies, drainage, extremities, angiography, angioplasty, embolization, gastrostomy tubes, cryoablation, catheter/line placements, and nephrostomy
• Use EMR systems including Radnet & Merge Unity, and Cerner charting system
• Navy surgical scrubs provided by hospital
• May be floated to nearby campus approximately 6.5 miles away
• Unit orientation provided by Lead RN for at least one week
• BSN not required

The facility operates with both in-house day coverage and on-call evening and night services, maintaining a staffing level of 2.5 nurses per weekday.
