RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Emergency on-call coverage required for weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Weekend call requirement: 1 on-call weekend every 4th weekend
• Call requirements: 1-2 days per week for weeknight coverage
• 30-minute response time required for emergency calls with 4-person team (2 RNs, 2 cardiovascular techs)
• May be asked to participate in holiday call rotation
• 2-3 shifts of department-specific orientation with preceptor
• Must have 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Must have prior exposure to IR and peripheral vascular cases
• Experience required with impellas, IABP, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, IFR, swans, roto equipment
• Must be comfortable with conscious sedation and airway management
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Perform pre-admission and post care in holding areas
• Provide procedural nursing in lab setting
• Perform PICC line insertions and IV conscious sedation
• Handle average of 16 cases per day in 2 Cath Lab/IR suites, 1 hybrid room, and 7 holding rooms
• Work with cardiac procedures including PCI, diagnostic LHC & RHC, pacemaker implants, vascular procedures, IR cases, mediports, dialysis catheters, and AAA stenting
• Use GE MacLab equipment (transitioning to Phillips Xper in 2025) and Cerner charting system
• Royal blue scrubs provided
• No floating requirements
• BSN not required
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
