RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Call responsibilities include 1-2 nights per week and weekend call rotation approximately every 3-4 weeks
• Weekend call runs from Friday 6:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM
• Holiday call requires 24-hour coverage with 4-person team
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in 2-room cath lab with 1 room primarily for electrophysiology procedures
• Average 8 cases per day with interventional procedures (no structural heart or open heart)
• 3-person team for regular cases (1 RN, 2 techs) and 4-person team for STEMIs and call situations
• All RNs must be able to sedate patients; scrubbing skills preferred but not required
• EP experience is a plus but not required for non-EP room assignments
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer through UNA (2 attempts maximum)
• Must pass simulation lab on day 1 of orientation
• 3-day unit orientation provided
• Hospital-supplied scrubs required
• Work with Maclab equipment and limited Cerner charting system
• Possible floating to Chandler Regional facility
• BSN not required
• Cannot have worked in any CSH facility as permanent staff in the past 12 months

This acute care medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory with 24/7 cardiology coverage and specialized electrophysiology services. The facility maintains a Level 3 trauma designation and provides interventional cardiac procedures with a focus on non-structural heart interventions. The cath lab features modern equipment including Maclab systems and operates with experienced cardiovascular teams including permanent management staff and rotating charge nurses.
