RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts starting at 5:45 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with core staff
• First to float among all Sacramento facilities
• 1-2 days floor-specific orientation with preceptor
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2
• Must have 2 full years of CVICU experience and have worked 1 travel assignment
• High acuity cardiovascular surgical ICU with float to MSNICU (Neuro experience preferred)
• Care for pre and post-operative CABG patients (goal extubation in 6 hours), LVADs, Empallas, IABP, TAVRs, CRRT patients
• Must work all cases assigned without special accommodations
• Must be able to read and interpret EKG strips and work with telemetry
• Experience with ventilators, critical drips, and Swan monitoring required
• Core staff will validate skills for CABG recovery, IABP, and CRRT
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Navy scrubs required (under shirts must be navy, white, or black)
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Self-scheduling available with manager approval
• Must pass DYS exam through UNA within 24-48 hours prior to contract signing (80% passing score, 2 attempts allowed)
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
