RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
• Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7
• BLS certification required
• Navy blue scrubs required (jackets must also be navy blue if worn)
• Charting system: Cerner
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules allowed when unit needs are met
• One shift orientation with preceptor
• Float only to other Med-Surg units
• Work with post-surgical, orthopedic, medical-surgical, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, and end-of-life patients
• May care for both COVID ('dirty') and non-COVID ('clean') patients simultaneously
• Handle patients on remote telemetry (monitored by 3rd floor monitor tech)
• Administer Heparin and comfort measure drips (no cardiac drips)
• Work with BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen managed by respiratory therapy
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of facility
• Valid unexpired driver's license required
• Professional license hits must be disclosed at submission
