RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 depending on acuity of assignment
• Must work 3 of 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
• Holiday rotation required based on unit coverage
• 24-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (7NNA)
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• 3-day floor-specific orientation required
• Float to other telemetry units (T5, T6, Neuro Tele)
• Work with Philips monitors and must interpret EKGs
• Use Cerner EMR system with PCs in patient rooms
• Handle cardiac stepdown patients, lung transplant, chest pain, MI, pre-transplant, esophagectomy, ER overflow, and detox cases
• Work with non-titrating drips (travelers do not take transplant patients)
• Navy scrub color required
• Natural hair color and no facial piercings required
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• 50-mile radius rule applies
