RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work varied shifts including 0645-1915, 0845-2115, 1045-2315, or 1845-0715
• 12-hour day shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday-Saturday-Sunday nights, Saturday-Sunday days)
• Every other holiday requirement
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating outside of the emergency room
• Patient ratios of 1:6 depending on staffing and acuity
• Average 20 patients per day with 2 RNs per shift
• Work with 12-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays
• Care for geriatric patients, pediatric patients, and diagnoses including pneumonia, CHF, and COPD
• Must be able to perform ABGs and draw own labs
• Read cardiac monitor strips (no dedicated monitor techs)
• Work as part of a team environment
• One day orientation with preceptor
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, NRP
• Must have more than 1 year of experience preferred
• Must be confident and have strong clinical skills
• Current dress code allows any color scrubs or prints
• Must submit unexpired copy of driver's license with application
• Use EPIC EMR system and TruBridge - Evident charting system
