RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with start times at 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 7:00 PM
• Weekend requirement includes every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
• Work into permanent staff holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:3 in ER and 1:4 in PromptCare
• No floating outside of the emergency department
• 3-shift orientation with preceptor on assigned shift
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with white, black, navy, or gray undershirt
• RNs responsible for drawing own lab work
• Electronic medical record system: EPIC
• Charting system: TruBridge - Evident
• BSN not required
• Handle common diagnoses including COVID, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric cases, strokes, and traumas
• Work with Phillips telemetry monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with in-house respiratory therapy, security guard, and house supervisor

Facility:

This hospital emergency department is dedicated to providing advanced medical care with personal attention to patients. The facility partners with a major university's Department of Emergency Medicine and features an 8-bed main emergency room with 2 trauma bays and 1 decontamination room. The emergency department averages 42 patients per 24-hour period and includes an adjacent PromptCare unit with 4 beds operating from 9 AM to 9 PM. The facility maintains in-house respiratory therapy 24/7, emergency physicians and mid-level providers, and is working toward stroke certification.
