Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - NICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Level 3 or 4 NICU experience required
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Manager interview required
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting (two attempts allowed, 80% passing score)
• Complete mandatory Day 1 pass/fail SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion
• Patient ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2
• Work in 71-bed Level 4 NICU (17 stepdown beds)
• Every 3rd weekend requirement
• Work 3 of 6 major holidays
• 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Cardiac STABLE plus
• Navy scrub color required
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• May float to Mother Baby, Labor Care (babies only)
• 2-3 days floor-specific orientation
• Care for premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical patients, ECMO and cooling cases
• 50-mile radius rule enforced
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
