MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts Monday through Thursday from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Backup on-call coverage required for 12-hour weekends every 5th week (used for call-offs)
• Holiday coverage includes nights into July 4th
• No regular weekend shifts required
• Perform imaging procedures for patients across specific age ranges on assigned clinical areas
• Demonstrate knowledge of Magnetic Resonance imaging process and MRI environment safety protocols
• Provide protection to patients and personnel in accordance with prescribed safety standards
• Prepare and position patients for MR procedures, explain exams thoroughly and answer patient questions
• Perform MRI procedures including neuro, body, and extremity imaging following radiologist protocols
• Perform venous access on patients requiring IV contrast administration as directed by radiologist
• Enter data into Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System
• Process images and identify anatomy on images as necessary
• Perform quality control tests on equipment and report irregularities
• Share responsibilities for ordering supplies and monitoring supply levels
• Act as radiology liaison providing support to physicians and referring problems to Team Leader
• Handle non-controlled medications for imaging exams and procedure tray setup
• Required certifications: BLS, Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT), Certified Radiology Technologist (ARRT) - Will accept AMRIT
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology required
