Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work evening shifts Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (would consider 4x10 schedule)
• Backup on-call coverage for 12-hour weekends every 4th/5th week (used for call-offs)
• No regular weekend shifts required
• Holiday coverage as assigned
• Must have 2 years of experience working in a level 1 or level 2 trauma hospital
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ARRT MR or ARMRIT (MRSO preferred)
• Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures including neuro, body, and extremity following radiologist protocols
• Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while explaining exams and answering questions
• Perform venous access on patients requiring IV contrast administration as directed by radiologist
• Enter data into Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and Picture Archive Communication System
• Process images and identify anatomy on images
• Perform quality control tests on equipment and report irregularities
• Notify team leader and maintenance personnel of equipment malfunctions
• Share responsibilities for ordering supplies and monitoring supply levels
• Act as radiology liaison and provide radiological support to physicians
• Handle imaging exam and procedure tray setup requiring access to non-controlled medications
• Maintain knowledge of Magnetic Resonance imaging process and safety protocols
