RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirements begin after 1 week of orientation with 12-15 call days per 6-week schedule
• Weekend call requirements include 2 weekends of 24-hour call per 6-week schedule
• Weekday call hours are 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, weekend call hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Review patient information, allergies, medications, and consent forms
• Ensure cardiac catheterization procedure rooms are prepared with all necessary medications and equipment
• Coordinate with physicians, APPs, anesthesia, and other team members
• Assist physicians during diagnostic, interventional, biopsy, and electrophysiology procedures
• Maintain sterile technique in both circulating and scrubbing roles
• Operate point-of-care testing equipment and administer contrast
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations
• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric congenital heart patients
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS
• Pennsylvania State board approved RN license required
• Hospital-issued blue scrubs required
• Preferred experience with congenital heart disease and advanced assessment skills
• Ability to care for critically ill patients from neonates through adolescents preferred
