Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours guaranteed per week over 13-week assignment
• Weekend, holiday, and call requirements
• Float position covering MS 4 Pav, MS 5 Pratt, PCU, and acute inpatient rehab (ortho/neuro)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• PCU experience highly preferred
• Must have completed at least one successful travel assignment - first-time travelers not considered
• Current New York nursing license required
• Must be graduate from accredited School of Nursing
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Meditech experience required
• Care for patients with sepsis, COPD, CHF, post-operative conditions, general med-surg, post-op plastics, and ALC patients
• Administer required drips including heparin drips, magnesium and potassium riders
• Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing principles and ability to assess patient needs
• Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient lifting and moving techniques
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• May assume charge nurse duties
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required
