Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts with weekend, holiday, and call requirements
• 13-week assignment duration
• On-call responsibilities required with 60-minute response time
• Must maintain 100-mile radius rule
• Current New York State RN license required
• Previous PACU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum one year medical/surgical experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Provide quality patient care and assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques using lifts
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• May assume charge nurse duties with leadership and delegation responsibilities
• Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation in OR/ASU settings
• Demonstrate lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
