Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 13-week assignment with 36-hour guarantee per week
• Current New York State RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (PALS must be obtained within 6 months if not current)
• MEDITECH experience required
• Travel experience required
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• Minimum of one year acute care nursing experience required for entry level without ED experience
• Must complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and obtain defibrillation certification within six months
• Must obtain IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Must demonstrate ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Ability to assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
• Must recognize safety issues and implement safe patient handling techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to function well in stressful situations required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
