Opportunity:

Certified Surgical Tech - Certified Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment duration
• Weekend, call, and holiday coverage required
• Must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• Must be certified as a Surgical Technologist
• Travel experience required
• Orthopedic experience required
• Scrubbing experience required
• DaVinci robotic system experience required
• BLS certification required
• May be asked to precept new staff members
• Function under direct supervision of an RN
• Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
• Perform routine and delegated duties according to hospital standards and policies
• Perform technical duties as scrub personnel with precise and efficient reactions
• Create and maintain sterile surgical environment
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures
• Knowledge required in cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of operating room equipment and instrumentation
• Completion of Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligibility
• Subject to 100-mile radius rule
