Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work in Emergency Department with varied work schedule
• Required certifications: NRP, PALS, ACLS, BLS (TNCC preferred)
• Current valid RN license required in state of practice
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Must have worked in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care for emergency patients
• Provide direct patient care coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy
• Formulate discharge plans utilizing assessment data and patient/family input
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Interact with physicians, patients, families and healthcare team members
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to unexpected patient care needs
• Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, and fine motor skills
• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Participate in professional development, orientation, and mentoring activities
