Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work varied schedule including every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
• Based at NCMC with expected float assignments to M/S or other PCU units at NCMC, Loveland campus or BFC as needed
• Must be proficient in caring for Cardiac and Medical/Surgical PCU patients
• Required to read and monitor telemetry
• Must hold Colorado CAPS certification
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
• Participate in unit shared leadership and contribute to education and orientation of facility personnel
• Current valid RN license in Colorado required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in specialty area within past 12 months required
