RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work varied schedule with every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
• Based at NCMC with expectation to float to support Loveland Campus or BFC if needed
• Must be proficient in caring for surgical, orthopedic, and neurology medical/surgical patients
• Required certifications: Colorado CAPS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must be able to read telemetry strips
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care using assessment data and patient/family input
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in unit shared leadership and education of personnel, patients, and families
• Must possess current valid RN license in Colorado or compact state licensure
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required within past 12 months in specialty area
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 75 pounds, and responding to patient care needs
