RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week
• Prepare preoperative patients and provide monitoring and postoperative care for surgery patients
• Float between Preoperative, PACU, and Phase 2 Recovery units
• Call required for weeknights and weekends, totaling 3-5 shifts per month
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios: 2 RNs at all times in Preop/PACU, 1 RN to 2 patients in PACU after first 15 minutes, 1 RN to 3 patients in Phase 2 Recovery
• Work in units with Preop (8 bays), PACU (7 bays), and Phase 2 Recovery (8 bays)
• 3-5 years of Preoperative/PACU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (all AHA)
• Use Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication access systems
• Surgical Services scrubs provided
• Complete general orientation on first day plus one week training in all three areas
