Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Nuc Med Tech - Imaging

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Must have PET CT experience required
• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program required
• Current Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) registration and licensure required
• Current ARRT in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or NMTCB certification required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association required
• Use professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures for quality diagnostic outcomes
• Select appropriate shielding and immobilization devices
• Evaluate lab values prior to administering contrast media or radioactive isotopes
• Perform venipuncture, IV patency and maintenance per established guidelines
• Administer radioactive materials and contrast agents according to guidelines
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures, document reactions immediately
• Verify patient identification using two unique identifiers and confirm procedures
• Assess contraindications such as medications or insufficient patient preparation
• Document patient and exam occurrences in PACS/RIS systems
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceutical dosages per physician orders
• Monitor staff and work areas for regulatory compliance with radioactive material levels
• Maintain current licensure and certification with facility records and reports
• Perform daily quality assurance monitoring for equipment reliability
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50lbs and push equipment up to 150lbs
• Assist with movement of patients weighing up to 300lbs
• Stand and walk for periods of 2 hours or longer
• Possible exposure to blood products and radiation
