RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed PACU unit with 1:2 nurse to patient ratio
• No call and no weekend requirements
• Charge nurse on duty with anesthesiology providers on standby
• Care for patients across all age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Handle diverse surgical procedures including general, vascular, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, ENT, cardiac, plastic, neurology, and dental cases
• Administer common medications including fentanyl, dilaudid, and zofran
• Operate equipment such as SCDs, pain pumps, IV pumps, and bair huggers
• Perform vasoactive drip titration with nifedipine, dopamine, and neo
• Required line management skills: IV insertion, PICC/central line management, vascular device access/care, dialysis fistula care/management, and A-line management
• Required cardiac skills: obtain 12 lead EKG, tele interpretation, sheath removal, and cardioversion/defibrillation
• Preferred cardiac skill: epicardial pacer management
• Required airway skills: procedural sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, and trach care
• Required ortho/MS/onc skills: epidural/PCA pumps, chemo administration, and wound vac management
• Facility may downstaff travelers 36/48 hours in a 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
