RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care based on American Association of Critical Care Nursing (AACN) Standards
• Responsible to Unit Director/Manager for overall nursing practice
• Care for patients from pediatric through geriatric age populations
• Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergency situations
• Manage life-threatening complications of critically ill patients
• Maintain airway and ventilation, hemodynamic stability, and stable heart rhythms
• Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion and ambulance transport as needed
• Complete mandatory education and participate in annual competency fair
• Maintain current licensure, certification and registration requirements
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Must stay current on critical care nursing concepts, trends, scientific advances, and biomedical equipment
• Ongoing assessment required for all critically ill patients to promote optimal outcomes
