RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Float Pool Adult

Job Details:

• Work in a 32-bed fast-paced medical surgical float pool unit
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6, may increase to 1:8 when needed
• Must be willing to accept up to 8 patients when required
• Float to all medical surgical units including cardiology, medicine, orthopedic, surgical, neurology, and oncology
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Remote telemetry monitoring responsibilities with telemetry interpretation required
• Work with common equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCD's, PCA pumps, lifts, gait belts, and CO2 monitoring
• Required line management skills: IV insertion, PICC/Central line management, vascular device access and care
• Required orthopedic/medical surgical/oncology skills: traction, CPM, epidural/PCA pumps, feeding tubes, wound vacuum therapy
• Required cardiac skills: remote telemetry and telemetry interpretation
• Required airway skills: CPAP/BiPAP and tracheostomy care
• Current CEU documentation required during compliance process
• Position may be downstaffed 36/48 hours in a 13-week contract based on weekly schedule
