RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, and cardiac catheterization
• Function in multiple roles: Nursing/Circulator, Moderate Sedation, Scrub, and Monitor roles
• Administer medications including anticoagulants, vasoactive agents, contrast, and emergency drugs
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with procedures as needed
• Recognize and respond rapidly to complications such as arrhythmia, bleeding, contrast reactions, and cardiac arrest
• Provide moderate sedation per protocol and monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and level of consciousness
• Prepare and organize sterile instruments, guidewires, catheters, sheaths, and procedural trays when in scrub role
• Record hemodynamic data, pressures, and procedural events when in monitor role
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and equipment placement
• Perform sheath pulls and vascular access management as needed
• May be on call for the Interventional Unit as needed
• Required: Graduate of accredited nursing school, at least one year experience in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or IR
• Required certifications: Current Oregon RN license, BLS, ACLS, IV certification
• Preferred: BSN degree, three years IR or Cath Lab experience, RCIS certification, NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Must be able to work with culturally diverse populations
• Bilingual English-Spanish speaking preferred
