RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Must have 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• 3-5 years critical care experience preferred
• Current New Hampshire RN license or compact state license required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• BLS required, ACLS and PALS preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
• NIHSS certification preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
• Certification in specialty preferred
• CPI training preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire
• Call shifts required for Cath Lab and Stress Lab
• Must be within 30-minute radius when on call
• Experience with complex/critical care medication infusions, including titration management
• Enhanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology, especially cardiac
• Experience with emergency cardiac interventions required
• Provide in-depth history and medication review for all patients scheduled for procedures
• Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual sedation examination
• Document sedation according to policies and procedures
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in creating and maintaining a sterile field
• Plan and provide equipment and supplies based on procedure and physician needs
• Maintain safe working environment including radiation safety and appropriate personal protection attire
• Demonstrate criteria for arterial and venous sheath removal
• Assist with insertion of Flow wire, Opsens and IVUS
• Working knowledge of hemodynamic waveforms and ability to monitor arterial waveform during left heart catheterization
• Ability to identify equipment criteria including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) and IMPELLA
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
