Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Must have cath lab experience - non-licensed cath lab techs are not utilized
• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams in cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems for imaging documentation
• Perform interventional procedures per established protocols and procedures
• Maintain appropriate IV and contrast competency
• Follow established protocols for proper patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation protection
• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team for patient care planning
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Clean and inspect departmental equipment and stock imaging rooms
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all involved in patient care process
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license required
• Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Participate in continuing education programs
