Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. CT Technologist - CT Tech Acute Care

Job Details:

• Perform CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images for patient pathologies
• Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images
• Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure
• Perform routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner equipment
• Conduct CT exams for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested
• Assist radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures
• Complete documentation of all information required for proper interpretation and reporting
• Work independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting
• Work varied shifts and participate in call rotation as scheduled
• On-call availability required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly
• May work extended hours beyond standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts
• Must live at least 90 miles away from facility to be considered
• Graduate of CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent required
• ARRT R.T.(R) & advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT) required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Two years of radiology experience as a registered technologist required
• One year of previous CT experience in a trauma center (level I or II) preferred
• Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
• Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
