RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Work night shifts in ICU/PCU environment
• Must be experienced in all areas and willing to float to Medical Surgical Unit as needed
• Active Washington state nursing license required
• Identify patient and family education needs and provide appropriate education
• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment use
• Follow restraint policies correctly with proper evaluation and documentation
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all PCU/Telemetry/Medical Surgical equipment
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques and equipment repair procedures
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures with proper documentation
• Maintain standard precautions at all times
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of physician orders
• Provide complete and accurate change of shift reports
• Communicate effectively with other departments
• Report critical lab values to physicians according to policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts, room supplies, and general supplies
• Quick start position with urgent staffing need
