RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Coordinate nursing care for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric in the Emergency Department
• Perform triage according to the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process
• Plan, implement and evaluate all levels of patient care with age-appropriate assessments
• Document care using medical terminology and maintain legally acceptable ED records
• Coordinate care needs of multiple patients and prioritize to ensure timely, quality care delivery
• Monitor life support and automated technical equipment
• Perform routine and complex treatments including medication administration and emergency resuscitation protocols
• Insert and safely administer IV fluids, blood and blood products, and other parenteral fluids
• Respond to crisis situations in a calm, efficient manner while directing others
• Maintain equipment and supplies, complete checklists, and ensure rooms are stocked before shift end
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer documentation of patient care and related information
• Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree preferred
• Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC or ATCN
• ENPC preferred, NRP encouraged
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required
