RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Day shift schedule with rotating weekends
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws
• Document patient care according to standards of care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians
• Provide patient and family education and instruction
• Participate in department performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units and departments
• Apply critical thinking for patient safety and experience, escalating appropriately through chain of command
• Participate in professional nursing continuum process and peer review activities
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS
• Active Wisconsin RN licensure required
• RN education verification required
• Experienced ER RN required for this position
