RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Peds Adult

Job Details:

• Practice professional nursing including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of pediatric through geriatric patients
• Function independently in the Special Care Unit within 18 months
• Assess and document physical condition of patients each shift and monitor for changes
• Perform initial patient interviews and create individualized care plans
• Maintain safe environment for patients and staff
• Initiate and document patient education plans and teaching interventions
• Initiate discharge planning for patients and families
• Perform treatments, nursing interventions, and administer medications per standards of care
• Evaluate patient progress related to plan of care and physician-ordered treatments
• Attend 100% of Acute Care Nursing Staff meetings
• Participate in performance improvement activities, competency validation, and continuing education
• Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient goal achievement
• Attend 100% of quarterly trauma meetings
• Attend greater than or equal to 90% of departmental meetings
• Maintain greater than or equal to 95% barcode scanning compliance monthly
