RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care for critically ill patients from pediatric through geriatric age populations
• Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on ongoing patient assessments
• Manage life-threatening complications according to facility policies and AACN standards
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergency situations
• Maintain airway and ventilation, hemodynamic stability, and stable heart rhythms
• Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion and ambulance transport as needed
• Complete mandatory education and participate in annual competency evaluations
• Maintain current nursing licensure, certifications, and registration
• EPIC experience strongly preferred as facility transitions from Meditech to EPIC system
• Must stay current on critical care concepts, trends, scientific advances, and biomedical equipment
• Responsible for discharge planning and appropriate patient referrals
