RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide professional nursing care for critically ill patients from pediatric through geriatric age populations
• Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on ongoing assessments
• Manage life-threatening complications of critically ill patients according to facility policies and AACN standards
• Recognize cardiac arrhythmias and life-threatening emergency situations and take appropriate action
• Maintain airway and ventilation, hemodynamic stability, and stable heart rhythms
• Assist with temporary pacemaker insertion and ambulance transport as needed
• Complete mandatory education and participate in annual competency fair
• Maintain current licensure, certification and registration requirements
• Preference given to candidates with EPIC experience due to system transition from Meditech to EPIC
• Responsible for assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions
• Stay current on critical care concepts, trends, scientific advances, and biomedical equipment
• Prioritize patient problems and needs according to actual and potential threats
